A Radical hysterectomy is the removal of the womb, cervix, tissue around the cervix (parametrium), fallopian tubes, pelvic lymph nodes and upper part of the vagina, and sometimes the ovaries. Most cancers of the cervix are treated with a radical hysterectomy.
